In 1995, Charles and Ted Conrad purchased a tax service from Perry Bishop in Spartanburg, SC.  Over the past 15 years, they have expanded the business to one of the largest in the county. 

The accounting tradition began with Ted’s grandfather, JH Gilby, who owned one of the largest individually owned CPA firms in Chicago,Illinois.  Gilby’s daughter, Mary, married TC Conrad Sr. who decided to obtain his CPA, after graduating from Harvard Law School.  TC moved his family south to Charlotte, North Carolina and sent his son Ted to expand the practice to Spartanburg, SC in 1965.  Ted and his son, T Charles Conrad III, continue practicing as CPA's in Spartanburg. Their concentration is small business, taxes and consultation services and offer Tax Savers as an alternative for clients that don’t need CPA services.

The family’s reputation has always been one of service and competence. Since the ratification of the 16th Amendment to the Constitiution in 1913, the family has always given their clients the best tax knowledge and service available.
